Suggestion program
More than 80 per cent of Fortune 1000 companies use various motivational programs to encourage creativity, enhance morale and generate measurable results throughout all levels of the company.
One of the most effective solutions that stimulates creative thinking and encourages teamwork is a suggestion program.
Instead of using the old familiar suggestion box, companies are now applying systems that help generate, evaluate and implement quality ideas to improve bottom-line performance. Although the individual is still ultimately recognized for the idea, it is up to cross-functional teams to determine the suggestions that may help reduce expenses, increase revenues, improve quality and productivity or enhance customer satisfaction.
The team researches the concept, develops a business implementation plan, estimates the return-on-investment and presents the idea to management for evaluation. If the idea is approved, it has to be implemented promptly. Awards are issued to the team, with a bonus to the originator of the idea based on the value of the suggestion.
If you want to encourage creativity, get more out of your employees and at the same time improve your bottom line then you should consider an incentive or motivation program.
